हाल ही में भारतीय जनता पार्टी की प्रवक्ता नूपुर शर्मा द्वारा पैगंबर मोहम्मद पर की गई विवादित टिप्पणी से देश भर में भड़की चिंगारी अब एक प्रचंड ज्वाला का रूप लेकर विश्व के अलग-अलग देशों तक पहुँच चुकी है। और इसका नतीजा हमें बीते दिनों देखने को मिला जब इन विवादास्पद टिप्पणियों के ऊपर कई मुस्लिम देशों ने कड़ा ऐतराज जताया, और इस बयान की निंदा। मगर अब यह मुद्दा यहीं पर थमता नहीं नज़र आ रहा, अब इस मामले में आ गया है एक ऐसा मोड़ जिसने मानो उड़ा दिए हैं सबके होश। अचानक से इस मुद्दे से जुड़ गया है एक ऐसा तार जिससे पूरी चौकस हो गई है भारत सरकार। तो आख़िरकार क्या है वो बात जिससे मच गया हर तरफ़ सुर्ख़ियों में बवाल?

    अमेरिका ने आतंकी संगठन अलकायदा अयमान अल-जवाहिरी को मार गिराया। ज़वाहिरी अमेरिकी कार्रवाई में ओसामा बिन-लादेन के मारे जाने के बाद अल-कायदा का सरगना बना था। अमेरिका ने दावा किया है कि शनिवार को उसने अल-जवाहिरी को एक ड्रोन हमले में मार गिराया है। अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति जो बाइडेन ने भी जवाहिरी के मारे जाने की पुष्टि की है। वह अफगानिस्तान की राजधानी काबुल में छिपा था। बताया जा रहा है कि राष्ट्रपति ने अभियान के लिए पिछले सप्ताह अनुमति दी थी और इसे रविवार को अंजाम दिया गया। यह साल 2011 में ओसामा बिन लादेन के मारे जाने के बाद अलकायदा के लिए अब तक का सबसे बड़ा झटका है।
