देश में 1 जुलाई से सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक पर पूरी तरह से भारत सरकार ने बैन लगा दिया है। अब 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' में सामान बेचने वाले या ग्राहकों पर मोटा जुर्माना लगाने का प्रावधान लागू हो गया है लेकिन अभी भी कई जगह खास तौर पर छोटे दुकानदार और रेहड़ी-पटरी पर 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' में सामान दिया जा रहा है और ये खास तौर पर सप्ताहिक बाजारों में खूब देखा जा रहा है। सप्ताहिक बाजार की लगभग हर दुकान पर 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' में सामान बेचा जा रहा है, इसी को देखते हुए वसंतकुंज के पूर्व पार्षद मनोज महलावत, वसंतकुंज के सप्ताहिक बाजार पहुंचे जहां देखा गया कि हर दुकान पर 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' का थैला रखा हुआ है और उसी में ग्राहकों को सामान बेचा जा रहा है, उन्होंने सबसे पहले सभी दुकानों पर जाकर दुकानदारों को सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक से होने वाले नुकसान के बारे में बताया और अपील की कि आगे से 'सिंगल यूज प्लास्टिक' का इस्तेमाल वो ना करें बल्कि कपड़े या कागज का थैला इस्तेमाल करें।

    पर्यावरण पर प्लास्टिक के बढ़ते दुष्प्रभाव पर अंकुश लगाने के लिए सरकार ने आज से देशभर में सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक पर प्रतिबंध लगा दिया है। आपको बता दें कि सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक, प्लास्टिक से बनी ऐसी चीज़ें को कहते हैं जिसका हम सिर्फ़ एक ही बार इस्तेमाल करते हैं। तो ऐसे में सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक की वजह से पर्यावरण को लगातार रूप से हो रही भारी क्षति को देखते हुए सरकार ने आज के दिन यानि 1 जुलाई से सरकार ने सिंगल-यूज प्लास्टिक पर बैन लगा दिया है। केंद्रीय पर्यावरण मंत्रालय ने एक लिस्ट जारी कर प्लास्टिक से बने 19 उत्पादों पर बैन लगाया है, जो कि कुछ इस प्रकार हैं

    पश्चिम बंगाल के झालदा डोरपा में पिछले 9 दिन से चल रहे हैं 73 गूंज के अंतिम दिन गुरुवार को जागरण में उमड़ी भक्तों की भीड़। राधे राधे से गुंजा 73 कुँज स्थल
    समापन के अंतिम दिन झारखंड सरकार के पूर्व मंत्री सुदेश कुमार महतो , हरेलाल महतो, बंगाल प्रभारी सुनील सिंह,संजय सिद्धार्थ ने पूजा अर्चना कर बाबा का आशीर्वाद लिये। सुदेश महतो ने राधे राधे कहते हुए आयोजन कर्ताओं को शूभकामनाये दी। ज्ञात हो कि 73 कुंज यज्ञ के बारे में बताते हैं कि एक बार दंडी बाबा उर्फ अनंत महतो ने मुरी देलवाडा स्वर्ण रेखा नदी से जल उठा कर बाघमुंडी लहरिया तक गए। फिर उन्होंने मुरी देलवाडा से देवघर तक दंड मार्च जमीन पर लेट कर 73 दिनों में पहुंच कर जल चढ़ाया। बाबा बताते हैं कि सपने में उन्हें 73 कुँज करने की बाते आयी इसी को लेकर 73 यज्ञ कुँज के नाम से यज्ञ का शुभारंभ किया 9 दिनों तक लाखों लोगों ने अपना आस्था का परिचय देते हुए यज्ञ स्थल पहुंचे 3 मार्च से शुरू होकर 12 मार्च तक शुक्रवार को शाम 3:00 बजे समापन की जाएगी। आस्था के इस बेला में जहां गुरुवार को देर शाम तक आसपास के इलाके में तेज आंधी तूफान के साथ बारिश हुई वहीं यज्ञ स्थल पर इसका कोई असर नहीं पड़ा। इसके अलावा सिल्ली विधायक सुदेश कुमार महतो मुरी टूगरी स्थित शिवालय एवं कोचों पहाड़ में महाशिवरात्रि के उपलक्ष में लगने वाले मेले में भी शिरकत किए।

    चुनावी मौसम में हर पार्टी के उम्मीदवार हर उस जगह जा रहे हैं औऱ वोटरों को अपने पक्ष मे लुभाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं जहाँ बड़ी संख्या मे वोटर हैं। इसी कड़ी के चलते 'श्री हनुमान जन्मोत्सव' के पावन मौके पर मंगलवार को वसंतकुंज की गंगा-यमुना-नर्मदा औऱ सरस्वती अपार्टमेंट की आरडब्लयूए ने एक कार्यक्रम रखा था, जिसमें दक्षिणी दिल्ली लोकसभा के बीजेपी प्रत्याशी रामबीर सिंह बिधूड़ी पहुंचे और सभी आरडब्लयूए के पदाधिकारियों ने उनका गरमजोशी के साथ स्वागत किया। लोगों ने रामबीर सिंह बिधूड़ी को पगड़ी और फूल माला पहनाई और फूलों के गुलदस्ते दिए और साथ ही साथ हनुमान जी का गदा भी भेंट किया। बता दें कि गदा, एक प्राचीन भारतीय पौराणिक आयुध है। गदा, भगवान श्री हनुमान का मुख्य हथियार है।
