The porn star-turned-science teacher who was fired from her job when the school board were alerted to her past profession pleaded for her job back yesterday and admitted she felt 'dirty' and 'shameful'.

Stacie Halas worked at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard, California, until she was placed on administrative leave earlier this year when students found porn movies online of the 32-year-old, who called herself Tiffany Six.

At a hearing yesterday, she made an emotional plea saying that she realized she had let herself down but felt trapped because she needed the cash at a time when her parents and sisters couldn't even afford groceries.

Oxnard school officials said they never knew Halas had appeared in pornographic videos until April and they should have been told from the outset along with the rest of her employment history.

    Stacie Halas, the former junior high school science teacher who was dismissed from her position at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School after it was revealed she was once a porn star, is fighting to get her job back, NBC Los Angeles reports.

    At a hearing Thursday, Halas made an emotional plea, saying that her first porn shoot made her feel "dirty" and "shameful." She let herself down, she said, but felt trapped because she needed cash as her parents and sisters couldn't even afford groceries.

    Her lawyer, Richard Schwab argued in court that Halas, 32, was done with the X-rated business when she started her job as a seventh- and eighth-grade teacher at the Oxnard, Calif. school in 2009. Furthermore, while porn might not be a respected industry, it is still legal, and Halas only resorted to the profession because she needed the money.

    "I think most of us have something in our backgrounds," Schwab told NBC Los Angeles after the hearing. "And I ask anybody here to cast the first stone."

    Oxnard school officials are unsympathetic. They say that they never knew she had appeared in pornographic videos until April, and that lying to her boss was grounds for dismissal, according to district spokesman Tom DeLapp. He said the fact that Halas listed being a lifeguard and working at Subway as prior employment but omitted her porn star past “is very telling.”

    Halas, 32, was continually deceitful about her nine-month career in porn before she went to work at the school, the judges said.

    Schwab said Halas "was being honest and forthright, but was embarrassed and humiliated by her past experience in the adult industry."

    The teacher, Stacie Halas, 31, was removed from her classroom at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School in Oxnard on Monday, according to the Smoking Gun (via Newser), three days after pupils at the school said they saw her in a series of X-rated clips.

    "Maybe it's not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it's a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned," said Jeff Chancer, superintendent of the Oxnard school district.
    School administrators sent a note to parents Wednesday noting that teachers were discouraging students from searching for and visiting the inappropriate sites.
    "We ask that you be particularly vigilant over the next few days with respect to the Internet content being accessed by your child on his or her telephone or other Internet-ready device," the letter read.
    In the videos, the lithe blonde is seen performing numerous sex acts, as the Smoking Gun notes:
    Halas can be seen in some of the videos engaging in a wide variety of sexual activity with a partner portraying a delivery man for "Big Sausage Pizza." Instead of accepting a tip from Halas, the delivery man opens the pizza box and -- Surprise! -- offers her a tip of his own.

    "If we feel as a district the teacher in question is the teacher who we believe it is, we will pursue discipline up to termination," said superintendent Jeff Chancer.

    The teacher at Oxnard's Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School is on paid administrative leave while the district investigates her suspected participation, according to district officials.

    Allegations surfaced last Friday, when students alerted Haydock administrators, who said they could not confirm the rumors because filters kept them from searching for the videos at school.

    The district would not reveal the teacher's name, or how long she has been with the district.

    Using smart phones and outside networks, administrators found the videos which depicted someone who they said could be one of their teachers.
