मेजर योगेंद्र सिंह ने रविवार को बताया कि वेस्टर्न सर्विसेज लीग की मेरठ जिला इकाई ने तानाशाही करते हुए से यूपी डिलीगेट्स के नॉमिनेशन की घोषणा की दी। इतना ही नहीं मेरठ जिला इकाई ने एक कदम और बढ़ते हुए इसकी प्रक्रिया भी शुरू कर दी। जबकि सेन्ट्रल लीग से अनुमति लिए बिना कोई भी इस तरह की गतिविधि नहीं कर सकता है। इसके बावजूद भी मेरठ सर्विसेज लीग ने डिलीगेट्स को नियुक्त करते हुए राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष का चुनाव कराने की योजना बनानी शुरू कर दी। जिससे इंडियन एक्स सर्विस लीग को अपने कब्जे में किया जा सके। जबकि इस लीग के काफी समय पहले से ही कई जिलों में डिलीगेट्स चुने जा चुके हैं और प्रदेश के साथ ही राष्ट्रीय अध्यक्ष का भी चुनाव हो चुका है। सभी डिलीगेट्स और अन्य पदाधिकारी पूर्व सैनिकों के कल्याण के लिए कार्य कर रहे हैं। इसके बाद भी मेरठ वेटरन सर्विसेज लीग के जिलाध्यक्ष ने तानाशाही करते हुए इंडियन एक्स सर्विससेज लीग के खिलाफ बड़ा षणयंत्र रचा है। इससे पदाधिकारियों में गहरी नाराजगी है। मामले पर कानपुर, उन्नाव, इटावा, मैनपुरी, औरैय्या, कन्नौज, लखनऊ सहित अन्य जिलों के डिलीगेट्स ने विरोध प्रदर्शन किया और इसे असंवैधानिक करार दिया। मेजर ने बताया कि हमारे संगठन में करीब 11 हजार सक्रिय सदस्य हैं। इसके बाद भी किसी भी पदाधिकारी को कोई जानकारी नहीं दी गई। ऐसे में अब वह वेस्टर्न सर्विसेज लीग मेरठ के खिलाफ कानूनी कार्यवाई करेंगे। इसके लिए उन्होंने कानूनी सलाह लेकर आगे की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। इस दौरान रघुराज सिंह यादव, कृपाल सिंह सहित कई जनपदों से आए पदाधिकारी और कई पूर्व सैनिकों ने भी गहरी नाराजगी जताई।

उत्तर प्रदेश के अधिकांश इलाकों को सावन में सूखा करने के बाद भादों में बरसे बादल कहर बन गए। लखनऊ (Lucknow Region) तथा कानपुर मंडल (Kanpur Region) के साथ ही झांसी में तड़के से हो रही तेज बारिश के कारण कई कच्चे मकान तथा दीवार गिरने से 15 लोगों की मौत हो गई है। इनमें सात बच्चे भी हैं। इनके साथ करीब दो दर्जन लोग चोटिल तथा घायल भी हैं। मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ ने मृतकों के परिवारीजन को चार-चार लाख रुपया की आर्थिक सहायता की घोषणा की है, साथ ही घायलों का समुचित इलाज कराने का निर्देश भी दिया है। झांसी के सीपरी बाजार क्षेत्र में दो मंजिला मकान ढहने से तीन लोग मलबे में दबे। इनके दबे होने की सूचना पर पहुंची पुलिस ने महिला समेत तीन को मलबे से बाहर निकालकर मेडिकल कालेज में उपचार के लिए भेजा है। जिलाधिकारी ने बताया कि जिले में रुक-रुककर बारिश होने से सीपरी बाजार क्षेत्र के न्यू रायगंज मोहल्ले में मकान ढहने से तीन लोग मलबे में दबे थे। इनको सकुशल निकाला गया है।
