Sri Lanka vs Pakistan- 2nd Test Match Stats, Predicted Playing XI and Previews
Pakistan completed a famous victory against Sri Lanka in the first Test match in Galle, completing their second-highest chase of 342. Their highest successful chase of 377 also came against Sri Lanka in 2015 in Pallekele. Meanwhile, the second Test of the series is set to begin on Sunday in Galle.
Sri Lanka recently managed to draw the Test series 1-1 against the Australia, winning the final game by an innings and 39 runs. They would need a similar kind of performance against Babar Azam’s side to bounce back in the series.
For Pakistan, it was their 22-year-old opener Abdullah Shafique who starred with the bat and steered the chase for the visitors in the first game. He scored an unbeaten 160 off 408 balls and saw off the chase. Skipper Babar also played his part in the game scoring 119 in the first innings and 55 in the second.
Here are all the stats & approaching milestones you need to know ahead of the second game of the series.
Pitch and Conditions
The last three Test matches hosted by Sri Lanka have been in Galle, and this will be the fourth. It generally offers turn right from Day 1 and gets more and more challenging going into Day 4 and Day 5. The wicket is dusty and the ball could turn square from Day 3. The team winning the toss must elect to bat first and make the most when the pitch is suitable for batting.
Playing Combinations for SL vs PAK
Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka has gone with more or less the same lineup in their last three Test matches. Batter Pathum Nissanka has recovered from Covid-19 but might miss out on the playing XI as opener Oshada Fernando performed well in the first match. Off-spinner Lakshitha Manasinghe has replaced Maheesh Theekshana in the squad for the second game and could make his debut.
Predicted XI: Oshada Fernando, Dimuth Karunaratne (c), Kusal Mendis, Angelo Mathews, Dinesh Chandimal, Dhananjaya de Silva, Niroshan Dickwella (wk), Ramesh Mendis, Prabhath Jayasuriya,

Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh - Asia Cup 2022 Match 5 Stats, Predicted Playing XI and Previews
Bangladesh is set to take on Sri Lanka in Match 5 of the Asia Cup 2022 Group B fixture at the Dubai International Stadium. Both sides suffered a loss at the hands of Afghanistan in their previous game and the winner of the game will automatically progress into the super four stage of the tournament.
Bangladesh have quite a number of problems as their top order is looking unsettled while their fast bowling department looked toothless against Afghanistan. Mosaddek Hossein was the only one who impressed with the bat and the side will look up to their skipper to lead from the front.
On the other hand, Sri Lanka looked out of socks in their first game despite having a lot of match winners in their lineup. Bhanuka Rajapaksa looked good in his stay at the crease while a lot more will be expected from the bowlers.
Pitch Conditions
The Dubai International Stadium has been quite good for the bowlers and the batters have found it tough to post big totals in the games played so far. The skipper winning the toss will be looking to chase given the results so far in the venue.
Predicted Playing XI of both teams:
Bangladesh
Mohammad Naim, Anamul Haque, Shakib Al Hasan (c), Afif Hossain, Mushfiqur Rahim (wk), Mosaddek Hossain, Mahmudullah, Mahedi Hasan, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taskin Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman

Netherlands vs Pakistan - 2nd ODI Match Stats, Predicted Playing XI and Previews
Pakistan will be locking horns with the Netherlands in the second One Day International at the Hazelaarweg, Rotterdam on Thursday, August 18. The visitors would be hoping to showcase a much better performance after having managed only a 16-run victory in the series opener despite having scored a mammoth 314/6 on the board.
The Men in Green have rested their pace spearhead Shaheen Afridi for this series so that he can be fresh for the Asia Cup 2022 starting August 27. Pakistan will begin their campaign against arch-rivals India in Dubai on the 28th of this month. Meanwhile, the other bowlers who are a part of the continental tournament would be looking forward to getting some much-needed match practice in the remaining two games.
The onus will be on skipper Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman to be among the runs again, and Imam-ul-Haq and the middle-order would be expected to step up from hereon. The good thing for Pakistan is that spin-bowling all-rounder Shadab Khan was among the runs in the first game and he would be expected to maintain consistency.
The Dutch, on the other hand, were poor with the ball in hand in the series-opener as they conceded a total well in excess of 300. Nonetheless, the batters showcased valiant performances with three half-centurions Vikramjit Singh, Tom Cooper, and Scott Edwards nearly doing the unthinkable.
Skipper Edwards remained at the crease right till the very end and scored an unbeaten 71 runs off 60 balls. He waged a lone war with hardly any support from the other end. His knock went in vain as the hosts were restricted to 298/8.
Pitch and conditions
Like the opening fixture, the Rotterdam surface is expected to be batting-friendly for the second match as well and the spinners might get some assistance from this pitch. Batting will be good in the second innings where the Dutch batters made the Pakistani bowlers toil hard in the previous game. Therefore, the captain winning the tossBy CricTracker | 198424 views
India vs Sri Lanka - 2nd Test Match, Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview
India and Sri Lanka are set to face each other for the first time in a day-night Test which is also the second and final game of the two-match series. The Pink ball Test match will be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from March 12 and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) has come up with a delighting news for the fans.
KSCA, in a press release, has confirmed that a full capacity crowd will be allowed for the Test match. Earlier, it was decided that only 50% crowd would be due to COVID-19 related restrictions. However, the pandemic situation in India and in Karnataka also is well under control even as the third wave has also gone down considerably.
However, the sale of the additional capacity tickets will be made available at the ground itself on March 11 (Friday). “KSCA is happy to inform you that there has been very good response for viewership of the India vs Sri Lanka Day-Night Test cricket match being played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore from March 12-16, 2022.
“Considering the high volume response and since there are no further restrictions for spectators, KSCA will be opening up sale of tickets for full capacity of the stadium. Additional capacity of tickets will be made available through Box Office sale on Friday, 11th March 2022 from 10 AM to 7 PM,” the statement read.
Virat Kohli’s century drought to end?
Bangalore is Virat Kohli’s second home as he plays for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Meanwhile, the fans will also be hoping that the former India skipper ends his century drought during this Test. Kohli last scored an international ton in November 2019 in Kolkata which was also the day-night Test against Bangladesh.
As far as the series is concerned, India are leading the two-match Test series by 1-0 having won the opening game in Mohali inside three days. With WTC points on offer, the Rohit Sharma-led side will be keen on winning tBy CricTracker | 309 views
Sri Lanka vs Australia -2nd Test, Predicted Playing XIs & Stats Preview
Sri Lanka will be facing Australia in the second and final Test match at the Galle International Stadium starting Friday, July 8. This is a must-win encounter for the hosts after having suffered a humiliating 10-wicket loss in the opening game last week. Meanwhile, COVID-19 cases have put the Lankan camp in a spot of bother.
After spinner Praveen Jayawickrama tested positive for COVID-19, three more players from the Sri Lankan camp are down asf batter Dhananjaya de Silva, pacer Asitha Fernando, and leggie Jeffrey Vandersay have also tested positive, which means that the Lankan team management has no choice other than making some forced changes.
Australia, on the other hand, showcased a far superior performance on a spin-friendly surface with both the bat and ball and completely outplayed the opposition to take a 1-0 lead in the series. A victory or even a draw here would ensure that the Pat Cummins-led side would register a second straight Test series win in the sub-continent. They had got the better of Pakistan 1-0 in the three-match Test series in March.
Pitch and conditions
In the first Test, many experts reckoned that the pitch was heavily in favour of the spinners, which was proven right with senior Australian off-spinner Nathan Lyon doing the bulk of the damage, registering nine wickets including a fifer in the first innings. Things might be no different this time around and yet again a turning track can be expected. Therefore, the captain winning the toss will look to bat first.
Playing Combinations for SL vs AUS
Sri Lanka
With forced changes due to four players testing COVID-19 positive, Sri Lanka would be relying on some of their emerging talents to come out with memorable performances with the series on the line. However, the hosts will also be relieved that senior all-rounder Angelo Mathews, who missed the first game after testing positive for coronavirus, is available for selection.

West Indies vs New Zealand - 2nd T20I Match Stats, Predicted Playing XI, and Previews
West Indies struggles with the bat continued in the first T20I against New Zealand at Sabina Park on Wednesday as New Zealand ran out comfortable victors by 13 runs. The hosts will be determined to draw level in the series in the second T20I at the same venue on the 12th of August.
Here are all the stats & approaching milestones you need to know ahead of the second game of the series.
Pitch Conditions
The series opener saw a high-scoring affair at the same venue and although the pitch assisted the slower bowlers, run-scoring wasn’t difficult. The team winning the toss will bat first on the surface after the way the surface played out in the first T20I, as chasing gets tougher on this pitch.
Playing Combinations for WI vs NZ
West Indies
The batters once again let down the team as the team suffered their fourth successive loss. The team management might include their premier spinner Akeal Hosein for the all-important second T20I.
Predicted XI: Kyle Mayers, Shamarh Brooks, Devon Thomas (wk), Nicholas Pooran (c), Shimron Hetmyer, Rovman Powell, Odean Smith, Jason Holder, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Obed McCoy
New Zealand
Kane Williamson will be delighted with his team’s near-perfect all-round performance and will look to claim another T20I series victory by winning the second T20I.

West Indies vs New Zealand - 2nd ODI Match Stats, Predicted Playing XI, and Previews
After a successful outing in the series opener at Kensington Oval in Barbados, West Indies will take on visitors New Zealand in the second ODI of the three-match series on August 19, Friday. The hosts, having a 1-0 lead in hand, are just one win away from clinching the ODI series and breaking their long series-losing streak.
It was a much-needed victory for the Caribbean side as they have not had ideal outings in the recent past. They lost against Ireland in January, then lost against India in February away from home, before winning against the Netherlands in June. They then lost the ODI series against Pakistan and Bangladesh before losing another series to India at home.
The last three series losses were all a clean sweep as the Windies lost nine ODI games in a row and thus the recent win, that too against a strong Kiwi side, will boost their confidence. The bowlers played a crucial role in the first game as they dismissed the Blackcaps for just 190.
The Men in Maroon then completed a successful chase, thanks to a brilliant half-century by Shamarh Brooks. New Zealand would be disappointed by their effort and would look to bounce back in the second ODI to level the series, whereas the hosts would look to extend their winning momentum and clinch the series.
Here are all the stats & approaching milestones you need to know ahead of the second game of the series.
Pitch Conditions
Both bowlers and batters have found help on the Kensington Oval pitch. It will be difficult for the sides batting first to reach a large total because the pitch is not conducive for high scoring, which was also evident in the first game. Given that the first innings’ average is only 228 runs, a score of anywhere close to 250 will be challenging.

West Indies vs West Indies vs Bangladesh - 2nd T20I Match Stats, Predicted Playing XI and Previews
After the first match was washed out, both West Indies and Bangladesh will take on each other in the second T20I match to be played on July 3 (Sunday) at the Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica. The Men in Maroon had their opponents in trouble during the first T20I as Bangladesh managed to score 105 runs in 13 overs but lost eight wickets in the process.
Some of the Bangladeshi batters got a start with the bat, but the West Indies bowlers kept bowling with discipline and reaped the rewards regularly during the first innings. The visitors will be looking to put on a better show during the second T20I encounter.
Match details
Venue: Windsor Park, Roseau, Dominica
Pitch Report
The pitch at Windsor Park is good for batting as was evident during the Bangladesh innings. The visitors reached the 50-run mark shortly after the five-over powerplay but kept losing the wickets which resulted in the slowing down of the run rate. A good batting wicket is expected for the second T20I as well.

West Indies
Possible XI:
Kyle Mayers, Brandon King, Shamarh Brooks, Nicholas Pooran (c), Rovman Powell, Devon Thomas (wk), Odean Smith, Romario Shepherd, Akeal Hosein, Obed McCoy, Hayden Walsh

Probable best batter of the match
Nicholas Pooran:
The West Indies skipper did not get a chance to bat in the first T20I match and he will be looking to score heavily in the second T20I match. Pooran is an attacking batter but likes to take a few balls before playing the big shots. He can do some heavy damage to the opposition bowling line-up during the death overs.
