आज नगर के कल्याणी नदी के किनारे स्थित पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी जी की समाधि स्थल पर पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी जी की जयंती समारोह का आयोजन किया गया
जिसमें बांगरमऊ के विधायक श्रीकांत कटियार, समिति अध्यक्ष अनिल कुमार कुशवाहा, संजीव त्रिवेदी शैलेंद्र कुमार शुक्ला जी अन्य कमेटी के सदस्य उपस्थित रहे।
कार्यक्रम के दौरान पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी जी के जीवनकाल पर प्रकाश डाला गया कैसे पंडित पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी जी बिना चुनाव प्रचार के उन्नाव जिले के प्रथम सांसद रहे
और किस तरह से एक लाख लोगों को पैदल लखनऊ ले जाकर विधानसभा का घेराव करके जमीदारी उन्मूलन को खत्म करवाया था।
पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी जी संविधान सभा के सदस्य रहे तथा चंद्रशेखर आजाद महात्मा गांधी से प्रभावित थे
समिति द्वारा विधायक जी के समक्ष प्रस्ताव रखा गया कि नानामऊ तिराहा का नाम बदलकर पंडित विशंभर दयाल त्रिपाठी तिराहा के नाम से रखा जाए तथा पंडित जी का आदमकद प्रतिमा लगवाने की अपील की।
