उत्तर प्रदेश के जनपद अलीगढ़ में अपर नगर आयुक्त अरुण कुमार गुप्ता के साथ अग्रवाल समाज के लोगों ने हाथापाई करते हुए अभद्र व्यवहार किया.जिसके बाद उन्हें अपनी जान बचाकर एसपी सिटी कार्यालय में भागना पड़ा. दरअसल अग्रसेन जयंती पर शहर भर में तोरण द्वार लगाए गए थे. जिसे अपर नगर आयुक्त के आदेश पर हटा दिया गया. जिसको लेकर अग्रवाल समाज के लोग आक्रोशित है और कोतवाली बन्नादेवी इलाके के रसल गंज स्थित अग्रसेन चौक पर अग्रवाल समाज के लोगों ने धरना प्रदर्शन किया. अग्रवाल समाज के लोगों ने अपर नगर आयुक्त को निलंबित करने की मांग की है. वहीं विरोध प्रदर्शन के दौरान जीटी रोड पर जाम लगा दिया गया. एसपी सिटी कार्यालय पर भी प्रदर्शन किया गया.

घटना को लेकर मनीष अग्रवाल ने बताया कि अग्रवाल युवा संगठन द्वारा 38 सालों से अग्रसेन जयंती पर शोभायात्रा निकाली जाती है. महानगर के अंदर स्वागत द्वारों का निर्माण होता है. इस बार पहली बार अपर नगर आयुक्त अरुण कुमार ने स्वागत द्वारों को बुलडोजर से तोड़वा दिया. मनीष अग्रवाल ने बताया कि अपर नगर आयुक्त की इस घटना से अग्रवाल समाज में काफी रोष है. अग्रवाल युवा संगठन के लोगों ने अपर नगर आयुक्त अरुन कुमार द्वारा माफी मांगने और उनको निलंबित किए जाने की मांग की है. जिसको लेकर रसल गंज स्थित अग्रसेन चौक पर धरना प्रदर्शन का आयोजन किया गया. मनीष अग्रवाल ने कहा कि जब तक अरुण कुमार गुप्ता माफी नहीं मांगते तब तक प्रदर्शन जारी रहेगा.

हालांकि मौके पर अपर नगर आयुक्त अरुण कुमार गुप्ता पहुंचे थे और अपनी बात रख रहे थे. लेकिन अग्रवाल समाज के लोग उनसे संतुष्ट नहीं दिखे और इस दौरान उनके साथ हाथापाई करते हुए अभद्रता कर धक्का दिया गया. अपर नगर आयुक्त के ऊपर भीड़ मारने के लिए टूट पड़ी. वही, बहुत मुश्किल से एसपी सिटी कार्यालय में भागकर उन्होंने अपनी जान बचाई. इस दौरान अग्रवाल समाज के लोगों ने एसपी सिटी कार्यालय के बाहर भी धरना प्रदर्शन किया.
