    ഗ്രൂപ്പ് വീഡിയോ കോളിങ്, സ്റ്റിക്കര്‍ എന്നിവ അതില്‍ പ്രധാനപ്പെട്ടതാണ്. വ്യാജവാര്‍ത്തകള്‍, നിയമവിരുദ്ധ ഉള്ളടക്കങ്ങളുടെ പ്രചാരണം പോലുള്ളവ വാട്‌സാപ്പിന് വെല്ലുവിളിയായി മാറിയതും പോയ വര്‍ഷമാണ്. ഫോര്‍വേഡഡ് ലേബല്‍, സസ്പീഷ്യസ് ലിങ്ക് എന്നിവ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതും ഒറ്റത്തവണ ഫോര്‍വേഡ് ചെയ്യാന്‍ സാധിക്കുന്ന സന്ദേശങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം വെട്ടിക്കുറച്ചതും ഈ വര്‍ഷം വാട്‌സാപ്പില്‍ വന്ന ചില സുപ്രധാന അപ്‌ഡേറ്റുകളാണ്. ദീപാവലിയോട് അനുബന്ധിച്ചാണ് ഇന്ത്യയില്‍ വാട്‌സാപ്പ് സ്റ്റിക്കര്‍ അവതരിപ്പിച്ചത്.
    വളരെ വേഗം തന്നെ വാട്‌സാപ്പ് സ്റ്റിക്കറുകള്‍ക്ക് ജനസ്വീകാര്യത ലഭിച്ചു.
    പുറത്തുനിന്നുള്ള ഡെവലപ്പര്‍മാര്‍ക്ക് സ്റ്റിക്കറുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിക്കാനും അവ വാട്‌സാപ്പ് ചാറ്റുകളില്‍ പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാനുമുള്ള അവസരം ലഭിച്ചതോടെ വ്യത്യസ്തങ്ങളായ സ്റ്റിക്കറുകള്‍ നിര്‍മിച്ച് പങ്കുവയ്ക്കാനുള്ള അവസരം ഉപയോക്താക്കള്‍ക്ക് ലഭിച്ചു. 14 സ്റ്റിക്കര്‍ പായ്ക്കുകളാണ് വാട്‌സാപ്പ് നല്‍കുന്നത്. അവ ഡൗണ്‍ലോഡ് ചെയ്ത് ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്നതാണ്. ഇതിന് പുറമെയാണ് മറ്റുള്ള ആപ്ലിക്കേഷനുകളില്‍ നിന്നും സ്റ്റിക്കറുകള്‍ നല്‍കാനുള്ള സൗകര്യമുള്ളത്.വ്യാജ വാര്‍ത്തകളുടെ പ്രചാരണം നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നതിനായാണ് വാട്‌സാപ്പ് ഫോര്‍വേഡ് സന്ദേശങ്ങളുടെ എണ്ണം അഞ്ച് ആക്കി കുറച്ചത്.
