गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर जहां एक तरफ पूरा देश गणतंत्र दिवस मना रही होती है
वहीं दूसरी तरफ रांची जिले के सिल्ली क्षेत्र में युवा जुआ के गिरफ्त में होते है।
सिल्ली के पतरातू में गणतंत्र दिवस के अवसर पर किसान मेला का आयोजन किया जाता है।
जहां मेला के नाम पर अब्बा डब्बा, तीन टॉस जैसे जुआ का खेल भी करवाया जाता है। इस खेल में सबसे अधिक युवा भाग लेते है और अपनी किस्मत आजमाने के नाम पर बड़ी रकम गवां बैठते है।
वहीं खेल के दौरान कई बार मेले में मार पीट की घटना भी होती है। जिसमें युवा बुरी तरह से घायल हो जाते है।
हालांकि इस मेले में कई बड़े अधिकारी मौजूद होते है लेकिन बावजूद इसके यहां यह खेल बिना किसी डर के खेला जाता है। मेले में हजारों की संख्या में ग्रामीण और शहरी क्षेत्र के लोग आते है लेकिन अभी तक इस खेल पर रोक की पहल किसी के तरफ से नही हुई है।
हर वर्ष इस मेले के लिए बोली लगाई जाती है। इस बार भी लाखों रुपये की बोली लगा कर मेले का आयोजन हो रहा है। इतनी बड़ी रकम को वसूलने के लिए ही मेला कमिटी ऐसे खेल को बढ़ावा दे रही है।
इधर पूर्व सिल्ली विधायक केशव महतो कमलेश ने मीडिया से बात करते हुए कही की जुए जैसी किसी प्रकार का आयोजन इस मेले में नहीं होता हैं पर आपको बताते चले कि आज भी सिल्ली थाना अन्तर्गत पतराहातु में फुटबॉल खेल के साथ साथ मुर्गा लड़ाई का भी आयोजन किया गया था पर एक तरफ आदर्श उच्च विद्यालय पतराहातु के ठीक सामने जुए का खेल खेलते युवाओं के साथ साथ बच्चों को भी देखा गया
अगर 26 जनवरी में पतराहातु में लगाया गया किसान मेले में जुए का खेल होता हैं तो हजारों परिवार बर्बाद हो सकते हैं
ऐसे में जिला प्रशासन और राज्य सरकार को मेले में जुआ जैसे खेल पर रोक लगाने की पहल करनी चाहिए।
