    गोरखपुर। नदी के किनारे बसे गांव बहरामपुर, खिरवनिया, चकरा दोयम, महेवा एहतेमाली, सिंहोरवा आदि बाढ़ग्रस्त हो गए। यह क्षेत्र करीब एक माह से राप्ती नदी के पानी से मैरुण्ड है। गांव के लोग अपने जानवरों व स्वजनों के साथ हावर्ड बंधे के करीब हाईवे के किनारे पटरी पर गुजर बसर करने को मजबूर हैं। टेंट डालकर रह रहे लोगों ने बताया कि बाढ़ की वजह से हमारा घर जलमग्न हो चुका है इसलिए हम लोग यहां रह रहे हैं लेकिन शासन व प्रशासन की तरफ से कोई भी नुमाइंदा हमारी सुध लेने के लिए नहीं आया है।
    बुधवार को किसान कांग्रेस के प्रदेश अध्यक्ष सुयस मणि त्रिपाठी और उपाध्यक्ष श्रीप्रकाश सिंह ने कांग्रेसी कार्यकर्ताओं के साथ बाढ़ ग्रस्त क्षेत्र का दौरा कर पीड़ित लोगों का हाल जाना। उन्होंने उनके साथ संवेदना और सहानुभूति प्रकट करते हुए 1500 पैकेट खाद्य सामग्री वह पानी का पैकेट बांटा। ग्रामीण बाढ़ क्षेत्रों का दौरा करते हुए जब वे ट्रांसपोर्ट नगर स्थित टेंट डालकर रह रहे बाढ़ पीड़ितों से उनका हालचाल जानने पहुचें तो महिलाओं ने बताया कि हम लोग अमरूद मंडी में रहते हैं लेकिन हमारा घर पूरी तरह से डूब चुका है। अभी तक सरकार की तरफ से हमें कोई भी सहायता नहीं मिली है। हम लोग भूखे मर रहे थे लेकिन शासन और प्रशासन की तरफ से किसी भी जिम्मेदार ने हमारी सुध नहीं ली। जिसके बाद हम अपने जानवरों के साथ यहां टेंट डालकर रह रहे हैं। कांग्रेस की तरफ से मिली राहत सामग्री को पाकर उनके चेहरे खिल उठे थे और कहा कि कोई पहली बार हमारे दरवाजे पर आकर हमें राहत सामग्री दी गई है। बाढ़ राहत सामग्री वितरण में कोंग्रेस नेता दिलीप पांडेय, कलांजय राम त्रिपाठी, जिला अध्यक्ष डॉ अनिल तिवारी ,अशलम परवेज ,डॉ अविनाश पति त्रिपाठी, सजंय चौदरी, मनीष मिश्र ,कमलेश प्रसाद अरसद परवेज ,अछ्यबर चौधरी प्रमुख रूप से उपस्थित थे
