लखनऊ : लगातार आठवीं बार विधायक बने सतीश महाना ने सोमवार को विधानसभा अध्यक्ष पद के लिए नामांकन कराया है। दोपहर में डेढ़ बजे उन्होंने नामांकन पत्र दाखिल किया। सतीश महाना इससे पहले भाजपा की अब तक की सभी सरकारों में मंत्री रहे हैं।
इस बार मंत्री पद ना मिलने से उनके समर्थक मायूस थे लेकिन पार्टी ने उन्हें विधानसभा अध्यक्ष पद के लिए चुना।उनके पास योगी आदित्यनाथ के पहले कार्यकाल में औद्योगिक विकास विभाग था। पांच बार कानपुर कैंट और तीन बार महाराजपुर विधानसभा क्षेत्र से चुनाव जीते सतीश महाना ने शुक्रवार को पद व गोपनीयता की शपथ ली। पिता राम अवतार महाना के राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ से जुड़े होने की वजह से वह भी बचपन से ही स्वयंसेवक बन गए थे। बीएससी तक की शिक्षा ग्रहण करने वाले सतीश महाना इससे पहले नगर विकास राज्यमंत्री भी रह चुके हैं। 14 अक्टूबर 1960 को जन्मे सतीश महाना 62 वर्ष के हैं। वह खादी, ग्रामीण उद्योग, टेक्सटाइल, एमएसएमई, निर्यात प्रोत्साहन मंत्री भी रह चुके हैं।
