वैसे तो सावन का महीना बहुत ही पवित्र माना जाता है एसे में अगर उस दिन अमावस्या हो तो उसका महत्व और बढ़ जाता है। इसी अवसर पर बड़ी संख्या में श्रद्धालुओं ने रामघाट मंदाकिनी नदी में स्नान कर भगवान शिव का जलाभिषेक किया।
