    रिजर्व बैंक ऑफ इंडिया की ओर से जारी नियमों के अनुसार, एटीएम में कैश जमा करने के मौजूदा सिस्टम में कुछ बदलाव किया जा रहा है। आरबीआई ने बैंकों को निर्देश दिया है कि एटीएम में कैश रिपलेनिशमेंट के समय केवल लॉकेबल कैसेट का ही इस्तेमाल सुनिश्चित किया जाना चाहिए। आरबीआई ने लॉकेबल कैसेट के इस्तेमाल को लागू करने की अंतिम तिथि को बढ़ाकर मार्च 2022 कर दिया था। वर्तमान में, अधिकांश एटीएम में नकद रुपयों को ओपन कैश टॉप-अप या स्पॉट पर ही कैश भरा जाता है।

    രാജ്യത്തെ 1.55 ലക്ഷം പോസ്റ്റ് ഓഫീസ് ശാഖകള്‍ അക്‌സസ് പോയിന്റുകളായി പ്രവര്‍ത്തിക്കുന്നതിനൊപ്പം 650 പേമെന്റ്‌സ് ബാങ്ക് ശാഖകളും പ്രവര്‍ത്തനമാരംഭിക്കും. വിപുലീകരണപ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ പൂര്‍ത്തിയായാല്‍ രാജ്യത്തെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ധനകാര്യശൃംഖലയുള്ള സ്ഥാപനമായി ഐപിപിബി മാറും. നഗരഗ്രാമ പ്രദേശങ്ങളില്‍ ഒരുപോലെ ഡിജിറ്റല്‍ പേമെന്റ് സംവിധാനം നല്കുന്ന വിധത്തിലാണ് പ്രവര്‍ത്തനം. വീട്ടുപടിക്കല്‍ സേവനമെത്തിക്കാന്‍ പോസ്റ്റ്മാന്‍/പോസ്റ്റ് വുമണ്‍ എന്നിവരുടെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളും ഐപിപിബി വാഗ്ദാനം ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്.2015ലാണ് പേമെന്റ് ബാങ്ക് തുടങ്ങാനുള്ള അനുമതി റിസര്‍വ് ബാങ്ക് തപാല്‍ വകുപ്പിനു നല്കിയത്.

  • क्या है इंडिया पोस्ट पेमेंट्स बैंक योजना | What is India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) scheme?

    India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) is a Government of India owned payments bank operating under the Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication, which aims to utilize all of India's 155,015 post offices as access points and 300,000 postal service workers to provide house to house banking services. The first phase of the bank with 650 branches and 3250 post offices as access points was inaugurated on 1 September 2018.Over ten thousand postmen have been roped into the first phase.

    On 19 August 2015 India Post got licence to run a payments bank from Reserve Bank of India. On 17 August 2016 it was registered as a public limited government company for setting up a payments bank. The pilot project of IPPB was inaugurated on 30 January 2017 at Raipur and Ranchi. The phase phase nationwide inauguration happened on September 1, 2018. In August 2018 the Union Cabinet approved a cost of ₹1435 crore (~ $200 million) for setting up the bank.
