  • Anushka To Act In That Biopic I latest telugu biopics | RECTV INDIA

    Jejamma in the biopic with Jayalalithaa ?!
    A biopic on the life of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa will be directed by filmmaker Vijay, who has made films such as Madrasapattinam and Kireedom.

    The film will go on the floors on February 24.

    Speaking about the project, Brinda Prasad Adusumilli, director, Vibri Media, which is producing the film, said through a statement, “Madam Dr. J. Jayalalithaa was one of those few regional leaders who went on to become a force to reckon with in Indian politics. Her life is an inspiration for womenfolk around the world. This film will be a tribute to her achievements, both in cinema and politics. We will launch the movie on her birthday, February 24. The first look of the biopic will be released on that very day.”

    The film will be made in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi and is likely to have actors from Bollywood.

    Vibri Media has also produced former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. T. Rama Rao’s biopic featuring actor Balakrishna, which is scheduled for release in 2019.

    Sweety Shetty (born 7 November 1981), known by her stage name Anushka Shetty, is an Indian actress and model who predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil films. She has received several accolades, including three CineMAA Awards, a Nandi Award, TN State Film Awards and three Filmfare Awards from eight nominations.

    She made her acting debut with the 2005 Telugu film Super, which garnered her a Filmfare Best Supporting Actress – Telugu nomination. The following year, she starred in S. S. Rajamouli's Vikramarkudu, which went to become a major commercial success. Her further releases Lakshyam (2007) and Souryam (2008), and Chintakayala Ravi (2008) were also box office successes. In 2009, Shetty played dual roles in the dark fantasy Arundhati, which garnered her critical acclaim and several awards, including her first Filmfare Award for Best Actress – Telugu, Nandi Award, Cinemaa Award for Best Actress. The following year, Shetty's portrayal of a prostitute in the acclaimed drama Vedam won her a second consecutive Best Actress Award from Filmfare and CineMaa Award.[5] Following the success of a series of films, she established herself as one of the leading actresses of Telugu cinema.[6]
