Adoption of AI in businesses
A report from PEAK says, 81% of Indian workers said their business is data-driven, compared to 69% in the US and just 48% in the UK. It is an extensive benchmarking report looking at the commercial AI readiness of firms in India, UK and the US.
Decision Intelligence is the application of AI to commercial decision-making. Because it can offer benefits across an organisation and is not limited to one department or operation, it is how most businesses will adopt the technology. The research says, 98% Indian junior staff were aware their businesses used AI, in comparison to 82% and 79% in the US and UK respectively.
The report reveals that Indian businesses are leading the way when it comes to commercial AI adoption, routinely outperforming counterparts in both the US and UK. While the US was an early leader in AI, with 28% of US businesses adopting the technology over six years ago – compared to 25% in India and 20% in the UK – India is now the more mature market when it comes to leveraging AI.
The report further throws light on how businesses structure data teams and how critical that choice is to successfully adopt AI. Higher maturity Indian businesses take a different path to peers in the US and UK and tend to favour a decentralised approach, with the majority (33%) of Indian businesses embedding data practitioners in commercial teams to support with analysis – by contrast most US (30%) and UK (25%) businesses have a central data team.
Indian businesses are also most likely to temporarily substitute a data expert into a team when needed, with 20% of staff in India having experienced this, compared to 13% in US and 14% in UK.
Experts say that India has already overtaken the UK to become the fifth largest economy in the world, and there’s clear signs that its growth won’t stop there. Web3 is a new iteration of the internet that harnesses blockchain to “decentralize” management thus reducing the control of big corporations, such as Google or Meta, and making it more democratic. Web3 aims to solve many of these shortcomings by fundamentally rethinking how we architect and interact with applications from the ground up. The Web3 economy will change how we create and transfer digital value: it will alter the lives of citizens, creators, artists, entrepreneurs, businesses… changing our world for the better. We’re still in the early days of a major technological revolution. Web3 draws its name as the third iteration of the internet. It gained traction, however, in 2021 with the proliferation of blockchain technologies, expanding NFT markets, venture capital investments and ongoing calls to reign in the power of big tech. The current internet, Web 2.0, relies on systems and servers owned largely by big corporations, raising concerns over system vulnerability and control. When Meta’s associated platforms suffered a global outage in early October – exacerbated by the centralization of its servers – there were calls to adopt Web3 and its decentralized architecture.
Web 3.0 is the game-changer for India in every industry possible in the near future. There is a low domain penetration in India that is calculated by the number of domains owned by a country divided by the number of internet users. It has been observed that the domain penetration in India is only 0.6% meanwhile, the USA has 43%. But the USA ranks third after India as per the total population rate. Still, India’s domain penetration shows much less than that of the USA. It is due to multiple reasons such as the proper utilization of the internet, per capita income, and many more. Lots of arguments are going on for bitcoin which is based on the blockchain technology. Bitcoin has formed at least three classic bubbles already in its brief history. Each time it crashed by 80% or more, and then revived after a few years. Cryptocurrencies, despite being considered among the market's hot commodities, have drawn sharp criticism from billionaire hedge fund manager John Paulson who described it as a "bubble" that would prove to be "worthless". Paulson, while speaking at an episode of 'Bloomberg Wealth with David Rubenstein', said there is no intrinsic value attached with cryptocurrencies except for a "limited amount". The segment is "too volatile", he said, pointing out that Bitcoin went from $5,000 to $45,000 within a short period.
Cryptocurrencies, regardless of where they’re trading today, will eventually prove to be worthless. Once the exuberance wears off, or liquidity dries up, they will go to zero. I wouldn’t recommend anyone invest in cryptocurrencies," said Paulson, who earned a mark for betting against the US housing market more than a decade ago. We would say that cryptocurrencies are a bubble and described them as a limited supply of nothing," he further said, adding that the prices would go up only to the extent where the demand is more than the limited supply.
Notably, cryptocurrencies, which are yet to be considered legal tender in any major economy, have garnered massive interest over the past couple of years.

Well before COVID-19, online shopping and home delivery had become a normal part of everyday life for many people around the world. However, the current climate has seen a massive surge in the use of delivery and subscription services by the e-commerce players. However, digital-only banks are being looked upon as a blueprint for how to best operate as a financial services firm during uncertain times. With reduced in-person support, the existing digital customers are using their banking apps more often during the crisis. We are confident this trend will continue and grow post-coronavirus due to its conveniences, whereas security and vulnerability remains a big question mark. The COVID-19 lockdown has impacted those within the banking industry in several different ways, presenting both challenges and opportunities. We are entering a time when a strong digital strategy is becoming a necessity rather than a luxury – welcome to the new normal.
The first phase is a tactical response, where banks take immediate actions to support their employees and customers in an operational shift. This phase will see banks enable their workforce to operate remotely and see a rapid move toward digital channels. During this period banks will see a surge of calls into their call centers and will need to ensure that these calls can be answered, with vulnerable clients being prioritized. Working on having a flexible workforce will help keep jobs, provide better customer service, and encourage their clients to continue banking and being active. The second phase focuses on the end-user, high-priority focus items. For instance, banks will need to review their customer journeys and ensure they are enabled to support digital channels, and how they can best support their customers, such as virtual help desks. Big update on UG exams in Himachal
Shimla(Himachal Pradesh): The High Court has put a stay on the UG final semester examinations in Himachal. At the same time, Education Minister Govind Thakur says that for the time being, the examinations will continue. After a meeting of the Education Department in Shimla, the Education Minister said in a conversation with the media that a similar case has also been filed in the Supreme Court and the Supreme Court has not imposed any stay. भारतीय शिक्षा परिषद, लखनऊ, यूपी और भारतीय योजना और प्रबंधन संस्थान (IIPM), कुतुब एन्क्लेव, नई दिल्ली को भी यूजीसी अधिनियम 1956 का उल्लंघन करते हुए पाया गया है. भारतीय शिक्षा परिषद के मामले और आईआईपीएम के मामले अदालत में विचाराधीन हैं."

रूप नगर एरिया में स्वराज इंडिया ने निकाला शराब के खिलाफ जुलुस। एरिया में जगह जगह बिकने वाली अवैध शराब का इस जुलूस में विरोध किया गया। शराब के खिलाफ हाथो में तख्तियां लेकर महिलाये बच्चे पुरुष सभी सडको पर निकले और अवैध शराब का बिकने का विरोध तो किया ही साथ में सरकार द्वारा खोली गई नई शराब की दुकानों का भी विरोध किया। इनकी मांग थी की शराब नही स्वराज चाहिए । इनका आरोप है की दिल्ली सरकार ने भी नए स्कूलों का वायदा किया पर मिल रही है शराब की दुकाने। रूप नगर थाना एरिया में स्वराज इंडिया ने जुआ , सट्टा और शराब के विरोध में ये जुलुस निकाला है।
