Tata Steeal arm inks pact with China firm to divest stake in Southeast Asia business
Tata Steel Monday said that its step-down subsidiary, TS Global Holdings Pte Ltd (TSGH), has signed definitive agreements with the Beijing-based HBIS Group to divest a majority stake in its Southeast Asia business. "TSGH has executed definitive agreements with HBIS Group Co Ltd controlled entity to divest its entire equity stake in NatSteel Holdings Pte Ltd ('NSH') and Tata Steel (Thailand) Public Company Ltd. ('TSTH')," the steel maker said in a regulatory filing. As per the agreements, the divestment will be made to a company in which 70 per cent equity shares will be held by an entity controlled by HBIS and 30 per cent by TSGH. Listen-in to the management. These days, due to increasing heat and drought, people in Shimla are facing water shortage. In many areas, water is arriving after four to five weeks and in some areas, it takes four to five weeks. In such a situation, people now have to meet their water needs by reaching stepwells and hand pumps. Of these two, 31 to 33 MLD of water is reaching Shimla city which requires 40 to 45 MLD. The water in the water sources has reached its lowest level, so now only rain is expected to rain soon so that the water requirement of the city can be met. Regarding the water crisis arising in Shimla, Municipal Corporation Shimla Mayor Surendra Chauhan says that along with developing water harvesting system in Shimla, there is a need to separate drinking and used water so that in future there is a need for water in Shimla. Necessities can be arranged.
