They were deprived of their rights with low value of land being given to them.
Rahul Gandhi heard them at Tappal and Bhatta Parsaul in 2011. He marched for their rights and promised them a legislation that shall protect their interests. Rahul Gandhi promised them that Congress will fight for their rights and will bring a legislature that will ensure that they get fair compensation for their land.
With passage of " The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 " we have delivered.

हरियाणा में विधानसभा चुनाव से पहले कांग्रेस में एक बार फिर से अंदरुनी खींचतान दिखने लगी है। कांग्रेस के नवनिर्वाचित सांसद जयप्रकाश ने बीजेपी छोड़ कांग्रेस में चौधरी बीरेंद्र सिंह पर तीखा हमला बोलते हुए कहा कि उन्हें कांग्रेस में आना नहीं चाहिए था। इतना ही नहीं जयप्रकाश ने आगे कहा कि वो हर उस व्यक्ति का जमकर विरोध करेंगे जो कांग्रेस की आलोचना करता रहा है।
