मुजफ्फरनगर। जिले की सदर विधानसभा के जनकपुरी मौहल्ले में धनगर समाज ने चुनाव बहिष्कार का ऐलान कर दिया। प्रमाण पत्र ना मिलने पर बीजेपी से नाराज धनगर समाज के 150 परिवारों ने अपने घरों पर चुनाव बहिष्कार के पोस्टर चस्पा कर दिए और भारतीय जनता पार्टी पर धनगर समाज की अनदेखी का आरोप लगाते हुए बीजेपी के खिलाफ जमकर नारेबाजी की।स्थानिय निवासियों का कहना है कि धनगर प्रमाण पत्र ना मिलने के कारण उनके बच्चों का भविष्य अधंकार में है। कई बार इस संबंध में जिलाधिकारी कार्यालय पर भी धरना प्रदर्शन कर चुके है लेकिन उन्हें सिर्फ आश्वासन ही मिल है। स्थानीय निवासी अनुज कुमार का कहना है कि जिले की सदर विधानसभा के जनकपुरी मौहल्ले में धनगर समाज की करीब साढ़े 8 हजार वोट है जिन्होंने एकजुट होकर चुनाव बहिष्कार का निर्णय लिया है। उन्होंने कहा कि हम घर-घर जाकर लोगों को जागरुक कर रहे है कि धनगर प्रमाण पत्र नहीं तो वोट नहीं।
