सूडान में चल रहे गृहयुद्ध ने देश की हालत खराब कर दी है। दो कमांडरों की सत्ता के लिए लालच देश को इन हालातों तक पहुंचा देगी कभी किसी ने सोचा भी नहीं था। लेकिन इस गृहयुद्ध के बीच एक राहत की खबर भी सामने आई है। सूडान में आपस में लड़ रही दोनों सेनाओं ने 7 दिन के लिए युद्धविराम लगा दिया है। यह युद्धविराम 4 मई से 11 मई तक लागू रहेगा। सेना के जनरल अब्देल फतह बुरहान और अर्धसैनिक बल (RSA) के जनरल मोहम्मद हमदान दागलो के बीच 15 अप्रैल को शुरू हुए संघर्ष के बाद से कोई भी वार्ता शांति स्थापना की दिशा में प्रगति का पहला बड़ा संकेत होगा। सूडानी स्वास्थ्य मंत्रालय के अनुसार, तब से आम नागरिक और लड़ाकों सहित करीब 530 लोग मारे गये हैं। जबकि 4500 अन्य घायल हुए हैं।
