ഇരു കമ്പനികളും തമ്മിലുള്ള ലയനം പൂർത്തിയായതായി കമ്പനി വക്താക്കള് അറിയിച്ചു. കുമാർ മംഗളം ബിർള ചെയർമാനായി 12 ഡയറക്ടർമാരെ ഉള്പ്പെടുത്തി 'വോഡഫോൺ ഐഡിയ ലിമിറ്റഡ്' എന്ന പുതിയ ബോർഡ് രൂപീകരിച്ചു. ഇതോടെ 408 ദശലക്ഷം വരിക്കാരുമായി ഇന്ത്യയിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ടെലികോം സേവനദാതാക്കളായി മാറിയിരിക്കുകയാണ് 'വോഡഫോൺ ഐഡിയ ലിമിറ്റഡ്'.ഇന്ന് ഞങ്ങൾ ഇന്ത്യയിലെ മുൻനിര ടെലികോം ഓപ്പറേറ്ററെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചിരിക്കുകയാണ്. ചരിത്രപരമായ നിമിഷമാണ് ഇത്. വോഡഫോൺ ഐഡിയ ലിമിറ്റഡിലൂടെ, അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര നിലവാരത്തിലുള്ള ശക്തമായ ഒരു സംരംഭം നിര്മിച്ചെടുക്കുകയാണ് ലക്ഷ്യം. കമ്പനി ചെയര്മാന് കുമാർ മംഗളം ബിർള പറഞ്ഞു.കമ്പനിയുടെ സി.ഇ.ഒ ആയി ബാലേഷ് ശർമയെ നിയമിച്ചതായും കമ്പനികൾ സംയുക്ത പ്രസ്താവനയിൽ പറഞ്ഞു. വോഡഫോണും ഐഡിയയും അതാത് ബ്രാൻഡുകളായി തന്നെ വിപണിയില് തുടരാനാണ് തീരുമാനം.
